This symposium is an unofficial event, and is not endorsed by Warner Bros., the Harry Potter book publishers or J.K. Rowling and her representatives.

Basic Information

Nimbus - 2003 will be held July 17-20, 2003, in Orlando, Florida at Walt Disney's Swan & Dolphin Hotel. The Symposium is mainly geared towards individuals over 18 years of age. Therefore, programs may not be interesting to most teenagers, although teens between 14 and 17 can attend if a parent or guardian accompanies them to Orlando.

This Symposium is meant to be a good mix of academic conference and "fan-con," and thus will feature programming appealing to both audiences.

As we develop more information about the Symposium (such as programming, speakers, hotel prices, transportation, etc), it will be placed here and announced on the updates journal and the Yahoo!Group that's been set up for this event. Registration is currently open.

If you're interested in volunteering, please visit our Yahoo!Group specifically for volunteers. Our schedule of programming will be available soon here.

Information about sponsorship is available here. If you would like to participate in our link exchange program and put a Nimbus - 2003 banner on your website, click here.

Nimbus - 2003 is presented by HP Education Fanon, Inc., a Texas nonprofit founded, in large part, byHarry Potter for Grownups, with extensive support from a number of websites, mailing lists, archives, fandom groups and individuals - we are grateful to all of them.

More information is available at our F.A.Q., which you can find here.
